His name is peter Cashmore and he is the founder of the famous website Mashable. Mashable has been a remarkable success story in blogging. Pete Cashmore started it when he was 19. He started it in his bedroom in Scotland where he is from. By now it gets more page hits then the top tech blog TechCrunch. That has been true for months. Mashable has a more well defined niche than TechCrunch, and it is more focused on the user. Founded July 2005 Mashable (Mashable Inc.) is an American news website and Internet news blog founded by Pete Cashmore. The website's primary focus is social media news, but also covers news and developments in mobile, entertainment, online video, business, web development, technology, memes and gadgets. Mashable was launched by Pete Cashmore from his home in Aberdeen, Scotland in July 2005.

With a reported 50+ million monthly pageviews and an Alexa ranking under 250, Mashable ranks as one of the world's largest websites. Time Magazine noted Mashable as one the 25 best blogs in 2009, and has been described as "one stop shop" for social media. As of February 2011, it has over two million Twitter followers and over 425,000 fans on Facebook. Mashable is reportedly worth US$107,512,865.
